奉納用に彫っているオリジナルオブジェ｢能登魂｣。
幾つか彫った中で1番出来のいい物を｢真彫｣、その他を｢影彫｣としております。

その影彫の名を｢魂囲｣と命名しております。

黒檀のブロックの中に球を手で彫り出す彫刻オブジェです。｢木球削出納細工｣と称しております。

木材：黒檀
サイズ：45 × 45 × 45mm
木箱：能登ヒバ

この度は9この内の1つ。木の中に節穴。中の球に若干の彫跡が残っているので、奉納から外しました。

普段は大変お世話になった方などへの譲渡をしておりましたが、この度、出品をしてみようと思いました。

ｰｰｰｰｰ能登魂ができた経緯ｰｰｰｰｰ
2024年1月1日能登半島地震発生
私は金沢市在住で、震度5を経験
翌日より支援物資集めに走り、2月には炊き出し支援に移り、3月から6月まで繋がった方々へ生鮮食品購入支援をし、7月からはお片付けのお手伝い。9月には能登豪雨が発生し、泥かきやお片付けのお手伝いを12月まで続け…災害が起きてからずっと能登で｢出来ること｣を続けてきました。

私は木工製作所の職人として働いています。2024年5月の事、中にたまが入ってない状態のオブジェを作り、支援先の仲のいい支援仲間や繋がった能登の方々に見せたところ｢中に何かが入ってると面白い！｣と言う言葉を頂き、その場で｢では、この中に球を彫りだします！｣という流れ…これが能登魂誕生の瞬間。

ひとつの角材から中に球を彫り出すまで、手彫りで球体を作っています。

立方体の状態がこれまでのその地域の人や街。
災害で失った｢モノ｣が穴。
支援を通して繋がった｢縁｣が球。

この人の繋がりと支え合いが、未来の新たな形になる様に。
初代作は｢願い…祈り｣

今回の能登の復興の願いを込めて。
能登だけではなく災害にあった地域にも復興の願いを込めて。

能登での支援活動が僕に木工作品制作活動を与えてくれました。自分から能登にした事よりも多くを与えてくれた能登。

奉納用真彫を｢能登魂｣
奉納用影彫(贈呈や販売)を｢魂囲｣

今後サイズを一回り小さくした｢魂囲｣をもっと価格を抑えて販売していこうと思います。ですが、変わらず手彫りになります。

Original Hand-Carved Sculpture for Dedication: “Noto-Dama”

Among several pieces carved for dedication, the finest one is designated as the “True Carving” (真彫), while the others are referred to as “Shadow Carvings” (影彫).

The name given to these shadow carvings is “TamaGakoi” (魂囲).

This sculptural object features a sphere hand-carved from within a solid block of ebony. I call this technique “Wooden Sphere Extraction Craft” (木球削出納細工).

This particular piece is one of nine. Due to a natural knot in the wood and slight carving marks left on the inner sphere, it was excluded from dedication.

Until now, I’ve only gifted these pieces to those who have supported me deeply. But this time, I’ve decided to offer one for sale.

The Story Behind “Noto Dama”

On January 1, 2024, the Noto Peninsula Earthquake struck.
Living in Kanazawa City, I experienced a seismic intensity of 5.
From the next day, I began gathering relief supplies.
In February, I joined hot meal support efforts.
From March to June, I helped purchase fresh food for those I’d connected with.
In July, I assisted with cleanup efforts.
Then in September, torrential rains hit Noto, and I continued mud removal and cleanup support until December.
Ever since the disaster, I’ve been doing whatever I could in Noto.

As a woodworking artisan, I created a hollow object in May 2024 and showed it to fellow volunteers and people I’d met through relief work.
Someone said, “It’d be interesting if something were inside!”
So I replied, “Then I’ll carve a sphere inside!”
That moment marked the birth of Noto Soul.

Each sphere is hand-carved from a single block of wood.

• The cube represents the people and towns of the region.
• The hole signifies what was lost in the disaster.
• The sphere embodies the connections formed through support.

These bonds and mutual support will shape a new future.
The first piece was titled “Wish… Prayer.”

This work carries a heartfelt wish for Noto’s recovery—
And for all regions affected by disaster.

Noto gave me the opportunity to create these woodworking pieces.
It gave me far more than I gave it.

Thus:

• The True Carving for dedication is called “Noto Dama”
• The Shadow Carving (for gifting or sale) is called “TamaGakoi”

Going forward, I plan to offer smaller-sized Tamaki pieces at more accessible prices.
But they will remain entirely hand-carved.
